What is Hydrodynamic Cavitation?
The effects of cavitation have been known for over a hundred years, but only recently has this phenomenon been exploited to provide several important benefits.
Cavitation in the Pool Tiger water purifier occurs when water accelerates inside the mouthpiece of the device. This acceleration lowers the pressure of the water below the vapor point, resulting in the formation of small vapor bubbles. When steam bubbles exit the nozzle, the pressure of the surrounding water causes them to quickly collapse and return to their liquid state.
This rapid change in the states of matter of water creates:

• High levels of infrared energy (heat).
• Intense shock waves.

HOW POOLTIGER WORKS?
As water flows through the PoolTiger , it is channeled into patented nozzles that convert it into water vapor, superheating it for a fraction of a second.
Instantly, the water vapor collapses and becomes liquid again.
This conversion from liquid to gas to liquid causes temperatures to be very high, which kills bacteria and algae. In addition, it creates a harmonic vibration that breaks the walls of the algae to prevent them from growing again.
These dead algae particles are negatively charged, which causes them to " stick " into larger particles which are then easily cleaned by the pool filter in the next cycle.
